FM Oh FM…!!!
It's been almost an year since any creature has breathed on
this blog.Yeah I was busy with millions of appointments round the globe(Me
Liar??) Huh okay I agree I am a lazy lazy girl as lazy as a sleeping
hippopotamus, someone who just pays no heed to her blog, selfish, irresponsible
girl who remains busy in her nothingness..Well enough of self mitigation..Isn’t
it?
Anyway lots happened in the past several months. Now I am a
certified Bangalore resident,a non-certified novice guitar player,an office
girl(who works seldom) and an overall independent girl, who yells at her mom or
sis every morning to find her bag,id card, wallet, lunch box and for every little
thing (well you can notice the level of
independency ;) ) So whatever it may be
things have surely changed from Bhubaneswar to Bangalore, from college to office
and in many other ways.
By this time, anyone reading this blog would surely be having
a deep urge to hold my collars and shout at me “You pseudo blogger, enough of
your non sense stuffs.Do you even 1% remember the topic of your blog or you
think we have as much time as Aishwarya Rai(Well she certainly is having lots of
time these days Isn't she)So to all such people calm down I still somewhat remember
the topic.
Well these days I need to travel a lot(not that I am attending
super serious important meetings all over the country),It’s the travel which is
required for me to go to office and back
home,26kms(one way)+Bangalore traffic(Yeah I know khoon paseene ki kamayi Ahh..!!)
So anyway with so much of time in my office shuttle which I
spend smsing or on calls, there still lefts plenty of time which I prefer to
spend on music.Nothing unusual as one can see “n” number of IT people in my
shuttle or in any other public transport with their ear phones and with serious
faces(I always wonder which serious professional song they are listening
to..!!) So I don’t know if people in Bangalore are following FM or they stick
to their mobile’s play list but for me one thing is for sure that I have
honestly started falling for FM.As in there might me many admirers of FM in the
city but welcome me I am new one.
You can have all your favourites in your play list but the
essence of waiting for a song after long adds and RJs chit chats is something
phenomenal.I mean seriously I have tried this,I might have the same song in my
mobile but when it comes on FM,I get so excited that I feel like shouting”Yeah
dekhoo wohhoo my song” and the joy of listening it all over again,at least gets
doubled.
In a city like Bangalore, one cannot expect to have lots of
Hindi FM channel and you frequently need to switch between 2-3 of them.In fact
many a times I am forced to go back to my play list loosing hope of any
song.Advertisements,competitions,people’s experience,RJs gossip….and so many
things come between you and your song but when the RJ finally plays the song, the
old adage of “intezaar ka fal meetha hota hai” starts showing its implications
to the fullest. Not only this in fact you get to listen to such variety of
bollywood songs which one could have forgotten easily.Last evening one song
called”Chanda re” from the movie Sapne was being played on one of the
channels.A melodious song indeed, though it was completely wiped off my mind for
all these years. You see one more advantage of Fm.No I am not here to promote
any of the FM channels neither have they paid me or made me their brand ambassador(or
who knows they will someday…;))Its just that I suddenly realized the “potential
entertainment factor”FM possesses, specially when you are bored of your
play list(Which I am to nth degree) or even when you don’t have any.
Its 9:20 pm,a Friday night,RJ Derris is playing “Neele Neele
Ambar pe” I am sitting in my bus,its still some 40 mins to home, looking out of the window I can see the
Friday traffic, tired people returning from office, girls returning from their
shopping spree, youngsters excited for movie or a night out, couple going for Friday
special dinner…Cool breeze flowing past my face, captivated by the charismatic
evening, settling lazily on my seat,I close my eyes for the next 30 mins to home
as RJ Derris continues with”Dooba Dooba rehta hun”………..
Ok now this is an article...Wonderfully written and a smooth flow of words...Bravo
ReplyDeleteThank you so much..My blogs are always incomplete if they don't have your comment:)
DeleteSuperb Pooja...It is you certainly... if this blog would have found randomly on internet...I can catch you........Fabulous article...
ReplyDeleteI absolutely agree with the potential strength of this entertainment factor "FM"...The same I too follow on my day to day way to office...I used to turn on Red FM, Mirchi, Rainbow & many more... as in it brings the lively impact through RJ talks....Long Commercials..& at a same time wonderful songs....
Best I remember in my college days where an hour on an average I used to listen FM & that was recorded FM-98.3 Radio Mirchi coz in Jalgaon...there wasn't any direct FM............
World has moved on with mind blowing handsome gadgets viz. I-pod, tablets, notes, mobile phones...where one can run thousands of songs on a finger tip..but since that is controlled by you..it generates fun momentarily....but the real fun is when you know you have to wait for the lovely track in your playlist...or may be not..& brings smile on your face that today you will download it...as it has been brought to you on the fastest & most favorite source...
Interestingly you will start telling your peers that you have it in your playlist...& your buddy will request you..."could you plz transfer it to my directory"..via Bluetooth...& it will cultivated to most of folks in fraction of day..
This is the power of FM............:)
Cool stuff...Pooja Keep writing...
